Meehan's Chophouse & Henry's Cigar Lounge

This page describes how Meehan's Chophouse / Henry's Cigar Lounge ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information, and the terms that apply to our SMS messaging program. This policy applies to both meehanschophouse.com and henryscigarlounge.com (the "Sites"), as well as to our member, guest, and subscriber communications across both brands.

Our Sites are informational. We do not host user accounts, comment sections, or user-uploaded content. The only data collected through the Sites is information you voluntarily submit through our marketing signup forms and standard analytics data described below.

By becoming a member of Henry's Cigar Lounge, dining with Meehan's Chophouse, signing up for our marketing communications through either Site, providing your contact information, or opting in to our SMS program, you agree to the practices described below.

Part 1: Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our businesses, we may collect:

  • Contact information: name, mailing address, email address, and mobile phone number
  • Membership information (Henry's Cigar Lounge): membership tier, membership status, date joined, and member preferences
  • Check-in and visit information (Henry's Cigar Lounge): records of when you check in to the lounge using our member scanner, including the date and time of each visit
  • Reservation information (Meehan's Chophouse): reservation history, party size, and dining preferences, including information provided through our reservation partner OpenTable
  • Marketing subscriber information: information you provide when you sign up for our email or SMS marketing communications through forms on our Sites
  • Transaction information: purchases, reservations, and event attendance
  • Communication preferences: your opt-in choices for email and SMS marketing
  • Website usage information: standard analytics data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and time spent on the Sites (see Section 6, Cookies and Analytics)

2. How We Collect Your Information

We collect personal information from you directly when you:

  • Register for a membership at Henry's Cigar Lounge
  • Check in to the lounge using our member scanner system
  • Make a reservation at Meehan's Chophouse (directly or through OpenTable)
  • Sign up for email or SMS marketing through a form on either of our Sites
  • Visit our locations or attend an event
  • Contact us by email, phone, or in person

We also collect website usage information automatically when you visit our Sites, through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 6).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and manage your membership at Henry's Cigar Lounge, including verifying access to the lounge
  • Track member visits and check-ins for security, capacity, and member-services purposes
  • Manage reservations and dining experiences at Meehan's Chophouse
  • Send event notifications, updates, and marketing communications you have consented to receive
  • Process transactions
  • Understand how visitors use our Sites and improve them
  • Improve our services and customer experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate our business (for example, our SMS and email provider Brevo, our member database platform Airtable, our reservation platform OpenTable, our website hosting and analytics providers, and our website platform WordPress), and only to the extent necessary for them to perform services on our behalf.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information exclude mobile opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

5. Email Marketing

We send marketing emails only to people who have consented to receive them. Consent for email marketing may be collected through:

  • The Henry's Cigar Lounge member registration form
  • OpenTable, when you make a reservation at Meehan's Chophouse and opt in to marketing communications
  • Marketing signup forms on meehanschophouse.com or henryscigarlounge.com

Marketing emails are sent on behalf of the brand you signed up with. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our Sites use cookies and similar technologies to operate properly and to help us understand how visitors interact with the Sites.

Essential cookies: These are necessary for the Sites to function correctly and cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies: We use third-party analytics providers to collect aggregated information about how visitors use our Sites, such as which pages are visited most often, how long visitors stay, and the type of device and browser they use. This information helps us improve the Sites. Analytics providers may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages viewed.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies; however, some features of the Sites may not function properly if you do.

Our Sites may also include embedded content (such as videos or maps) from other websites. This embedded content behaves as if you visited the other site directly, and those sites may collect data about you, set cookies, or track your interaction with the embedded content.

7. Your Choices

  • You may opt out of email marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • You may opt out of SMS marketing at any time by replying STOP to any message we send (see SMS Terms below).
  • You may control cookies through your browser settings.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email above.
  • Members may request a record of their check-in history or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal or business retention requirements.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, manage your membership, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Member check-in records are retained for operational purposes (such as resolving membership questions, security incidents, or capacity reviews) and may be deleted on request, subject to any applicable legal hold.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and notify you in the event of a breach as required by law.

10. Children

Henry's Cigar Lounge and its SMS program are intended for adults age 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21 in connection with the lounge or its SMS program. Meehan's Chophouse is a family-friendly establishment; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child in violation of applicable law, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through our Sites or, where appropriate, directly to members and subscribers.

Part 2: SMS Terms & Conditions

Note: Our SMS messaging program is offered by Henry's Cigar Lounge only. Meehan's Chophouse does not currently send SMS marketing. Signing up for marketing communications on meehanschophouse.com will subscribe you to email only.

These SMS Terms govern your participation in the Henry's Cigar Lounge SMS messaging program (the "Program"). By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to these terms.

1. Program Description

The Program sends Henry's Cigar Lounge subscribers and members text message notifications about upcoming lounge events, member-only updates, and related communications.

2. How to Opt In

You may enroll in the Program by:

  • Checking the SMS consent box on the Henry's Cigar Lounge member registration form and providing your mobile phone number, or
  • Checking the SMS consent box on the marketing signup form at henryscigarlounge.com and providing your mobile phone number

You must be 21 years of age or older to participate.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You can typically expect up to 4 messages per month, though frequency may increase around major events.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We do not charge for messages sent through the Program, but your carrier's standard rates will apply to messages you send and receive.

5. How to Opt Out

You can cancel the Program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After replying STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and will not receive any further messages from this Program. If you would like to rejoin, simply opt in again through one of our signup forms.

7. Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers (including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Privacy

Information collected through the Program is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy above. We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

9. Eligibility

The Program is available to individuals who are 21 years of age or older and reside in the United States.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may modify or terminate the Program or these SMS Terms at any time. We will notify enrolled subscribers of material changes via SMS or email.
